Golden ~ Blackhawk & Central City
A z scale model railroad in the Train Depot of Tomball, Texas USA
It’s been another big week on the Goden~Blackhawk & Central City Model Railroad.
Light pipes (“Diamond” brand , white cocktail straws) have been installed into Central City structures, from the bottom up, into 15 buildings
in and they now are ready for placing pico size LEDs for lighting. Next job is replacing fake pewter street lights with real LED light standards.
After that, the NEXT JOB will be connecting all unit wires to bus wires and variable control Arduinos for phased lighting sequences. Gonna be quite a show!
Also our new OFFICIAL “G~B&CC” crew man Jackson Connett has joined us at September 15,2019.
And finally the Cleaning Man Cometh – Douglas LaRue doing a cleaning job that’s been needed for 15 years.
Today was milestone on the G~B&CC RR. Mister Dave installed the first interior light in a Central City structure! Soon the whole town will shine in the darkness thanks to our new “pico” LED lights.
Jackson Connett started his first day of crew training on the G~B&CC R. R. September 1st in the Tomball Depot Museum.
Douglas LaRue handled this orientation session with ease and fun for Jackson.
We look forward to getting to know this fine young man better as we Play Trains With Mister Dave and Crew.
Today was an exciting morning at the Golden~Blackhawk & Central City model railroad. Mister Dave summoned all his courage and resolve to cut into his beautiful layout and *temporarily* remove the Central City so it can updated with new lighting.
This is just one many exciting enhancements planned in the months ahead as we continue to improve the G~B&CC !!
Young Munchkins with Parents and a gift of more dinosaurs ? from young Jay Barhorst.
